Model-turned-actress Lisa Ray is the new host of Top Chef Canada.

The Water and Bollywood/Hollywood star is taking over hosting duties from Thea Andrews, who recently gave birth to her second child.

The Canadian spinoff of the U.S. competition series, Top Chef features the country’s top culinary talent competing in weekly challenges.

The winner gets $100,000, a kitchen worth $30,000 and the unofficial title of Canada’s Top Chef.

Ray revealed in 2009 that she’d been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer but said the following year that it was in remission. She says she’s looking forward to a “delicious” season.

The second season of Top Chef Canada premieres March 12 on Food Network Canada.
