Car enthusiasts in Quebec have a new online destination from AOL Canada.
Autoblog Québec is a French-language extension of AOL Canada’s Autoblog Canada. It launched Tuesday and features a mixture of content curated from Autoblog’s international editions and original local automotive news from regional journalists and contributors such as Le Devoir’s Philippe Laguë.
It also contains car reviews, video and photo galleries and international auto show coverage. Montreal-based Jean-François Savoie is the site’s editor.
Autoblog Québec offers standard and dynamic digital ad formats. They include AOL’s Premium Formats, as well as mobile and video solutions.
Shell is currently running exclusively across the new site for a two-week flight.
The launch of Autoblog Québec marks another addition to AOL Canada’s roster of French-language properties. In February 2012, it launched Le Huffington Post Québec.
According to comScore data from January 2013, AOL Autos—including Autoblog Canada—has 712,000 unique monthly visitors across Canada.
Fall 2012 PMB/comScore data provided by AOL shows that in Québec, visitors to AOL sites are 28% more likely than the average online adult in the province to buy or lease a vehicle in the next 12 months.
