A new multiplatform plan from Astral Mix means film promoters can now entice movie fans with more than just the promise of an air-conditioned theatre this summer.

A division of Astral Media, Astral Mix has launched Cinemix – a two-week multiplatform plan through which film release campaigns in Quebec can be distributed on Astral properties and mobile platforms.

Advertisers that buy into the plan will have access to Astral’s 10 specialty TV channels, OOH digital network and two radio stations. The plan also includes 13 websites, social networks of several media properties and a mobile component.

The plan offers advertisers custom-produced editorial segments that can run before the film’s official trailer. Hosted by entertainment reporters Isabelle Lacasse or Nicolas Ouellet, the “À l’affiche” [“Now Showing”] multiplatform segments can incorporate everything from red carpet coverage and actor interviews to sneak previews and audience feedback.

In a release, Michelle LaBarre, vice-president of Astral Mix, bills the offering as “a one-stop custom shop to maximize box office success and go beyond traditional promotional campaigns.”

Astral Mix works with ad and placement agencies to leverage Astral’s various platforms and provide integrated solutions.
