Bell Media and the National Football League have signed a multi-year extension of their broadcast partnership that will see more NFL games on more channels and give Bell digital media rights.
The digital rights will allow Canadians to watch NFL games and content using CTV Go and TSN Go mobile apps on their wireless devices.
Terms of the agreement, starting in 2014, weren’t released.
Bell says the new agreement is complementary to its existing agreement with the NFL for prime time games on TSN.
Fans will now be able to watch Sunday afternoon games on conventional channels CTV and CTV Two and also on specialty channels TSN and TSN2 at both 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The Bell football deal follows an agreement between Rogers Communications and the National Hockey League last month.
Rogers won an exclusive $5.2-billion deal with the NHL over 12 years, giving it national rights to all games on all platforms in all languages.
