Bell Media Mix takes the plunge with Ubisoft

Space to air 30-minute episode devoted entirely to Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Bell Media Mix has partnered with Montreal-based software company Ubisoft for a third time to promote the latest chapter in its popular Assassin’s Creed series.

On Nov. 10, the Bell Media specialty channel Space will air a special episode of its daily series Innerspace devoted entirely to the new game title, Assassin’s Creed: Unity.

The 30-minute special is the final piece in a three-month campaign developed in association with Ubisoft’s agency, Bleublanrouge.

Previously, Innerspace host Ajay Fry hosted a special segment in which people in Toronto were invited to take the plunge, just like the game’s protagonist, via an inflatable structure.

Set in Paris during the French Revolution, Unity is the first Assassin’s Creed title developed for next-generation game consoles. On Nov. 11, Ubisoft is flying four winners of a sponsored contest to Paris, accompanied by Fry and a film crew. The crew will film the trip for content airing on future episodes of the show.

The social media feeds of both Ajay and Innerspace will also continue to show photos and videos related to the game, while Bell Media specialty channels including RDS, Z, Discovery, Space, Comedy, Much and TSN are all running ads promoting the game, which arrives in stores on Nov. 11.

According to the gaming site, IGN.com, the Assassin’s Creed series has sold more than 73 million sales globally.
