Canada Post is looking to improve its online reach and marketing capabilities by establishing standing offer agreements with online media planning and buying agencies.

The crown corporation has announced it wants to establish up to five such agreements. It issued a request for proposals on Wednesday. The review process will close Feb. 2.

The initial agreements will last for one-year starting in February or March, with options to renew for five additional one-year terms.

Having a roster of agencies will enable Canada Post to benefit from varied expertise and knowledge, said Anick Losier, director of media relations at Canada Post.

Commenting on Canada Post’s digital delivery network, Losier added that the way Canadians use the company’s services is changing and “we are positioning ourselves to serve their shipping needs whether it comes via their e-bills or e-commerce.”

Further information on the RFP is available at MERX.com.
