Telus has contracted Canwest to sell online advertising on its English and French portals MyTelus.com and GlobeTrotter.net, after what the two parties describe as a “competitive” RFP process.
The two portals boast a combined four million unique users a month. Graham Moysey, senior vice-president and general manager of Canwest Publishing, digital media said they will complement Canwest’s existing portfolio of 80 “destination” sites.
“Canwest has deep relationships with Canadian advertisers and by having them represent our portal businesses we are certainly poised for mutual gain,” said Brent Johnston, vice-president of marketing operations for Telus, in a release.
