CTV Newsnet is getting a facelift at 9 am Tuesday as the broadcaster reveals a new name—CTV News Channel—and logo.

The 24-hour news channel is operated by CTVglobemedia which also owns the CP24 24-hour news station, the A Channel group of stations and several other specialty cable properties.

“We are very excited about this new chapter,” said Jana Juginovic, director of news and programming, CTV News Channel, in a statement. “Canadians trust CTV News for the most accurate, up-to-the-minute breaking news and this refreshed look will only enhance our viewers’ experience.”

The changes appear cosmetic in nature as the 24-hour news channel will continue to broadcast CTV’s most well-known news programs, including Canada AM and CTV National News with Lloyd Robertson.
