Two years after joining Vision7 Media as its president, David Jowett is leaving the company.
On Thursday, the company announced Jowett has resigned from his position and is returning to the United Kingdom, where he ran Mediacom UK for ten years before moving to Canada to take the head position at Vision7’s media arm.
He will continue with the company through the end of the month.
According to Vision 7’s president and CEO Brett Marchand, Jowett “has decided to move back to the U.K. for family reasons.”
In a statement, Marchand said, “While we respect and support him in this decision, we also feel regret in losing such a talented and highly valued media professional.”
No successor has been named. In the interim, Marchand will act as head of Vision7 Media and is leading the search for a replacement.
Jowett said in a statement that his tenure at Vision7 has been an amazing experience. “I’m so immensely proud to have been part of the Cossette Media and Jungle Media success stories and I’m confident that they will continue to unfold,” he said.
The change in leadership follows news late last year of Vision7’s sale to the Beijing-based BlueFocus Communications Group.
