DHX Media says it turned a profit in its latest quarter compared with a loss a year ago, while revenue grew nearly 50%.
The producer of child- and youth-oriented TV programs says it earned $7.5 million in its most recent quarter.
That compared with a loss of $7.7 million in the same quarter last year.
On an adjusted basis, the company says it earned $8.3 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up from an adjusted profit of $5.5 million a year ago.
Revenue in what was the first quarter of the company’s financial year totalled $63.9 million, up from $43.0 million.
DHX Media is the company behind brands including the Teletubbies, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Caillou, In the Night Garden, Inspector Gadget, and the Degrassi franchise.
