A new report by eMarketer shows that digital ad spending has a strong foothold in Canada and is expected to grow consistently over the next few years.
According to the Canada Digital Ad Spending: Mobile and Video Investment Will Lead Further Growth report, investment in digital ad spending in Canada is at $3.38 billion this year – up from $3.09 billion last year.
By 2017, it forecasts that spend to reach $4.64 billion.
This year, almost a quarter of total media ad investment in Canada is expected to come from digital ad spending. In 2012, it represented 21.9% of Canada’s total media ad spending.
eMarketer’s predictions for digital ad spending growth in Canada until 2017
