ABC Canada Literacy Foundation is selling ad space in magazines, newspapers, outdoor, and online for its ninth annual Gutenberg Media Grab.

Several media companies have donated magazine, newspaper, online and outdoor inventory at 65% off the rate card, in titles including Chatelaine, Canadian Business, Vancouver Sun, Toronto Star, Today’s Parent as well as on Astral Media properties. The total value of the media is over $530,000.

“What makes our sale unique is that it is a media sale, not an auction,” said Rina Khosla, director of marketing and partnerships at ABC Canada Literacy Foundation, in a release. “You just have to be the first one to grab the ad space.”

All proceeds benefit ABC Canada’s work to promote awareness about the issue of literacy and to encourage those with reading, writing and math challenges to seek help.
