Durocher named NADBank chair

The Newspaper Audience Databank announced a new chair and three additions to its 2011 board of directors this week as four of its members leave the big table

The Newspaper Audience Databank (NADbank) announced a new chair and three additions to its 2011 board of directors this week as four of its members leave the big table.

The board is set to be chaired by Jean Durocher, vice-president of marketing and sales at La Presse Ltée and president of Gesca MediaSales. He replaces the retiring Kevin Brent, president and publisher of Pacific Newspaper Group and executive vice president of Western Canada Postmedia Network Inc.

Also stepping down are Sunni Boot, president and CEO of ZenithOptimedia Canada; Chris Brockbank, executive vice-president of marketing and product management, Sun Media Corporation, and Peter Vaz, vice-president and director of digital communications, M2 Universal Digital.

Joining the board are John Connolly, publisher of Edmonton Journal; Karen Nayler, leader with Mindshare Canada; and Mike Power, publisher of the Toronto Sun and 24 Hours Toronto.

• Andrew Saunders, vice-president of advertising sales of The Globe and Mail
• Veronica Engelberts, president of Vector
• Kirk Allen, executive vice-president with Postmedia Integrated Advertising at Postmedia Network
• Don Brander, publisher and general manager of The Guardian and group publisher of Transcontinental Media Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island
• Philippe Guay, vice-president of national sales at Quebecor Media
• Sara Hill, president of M2 Universal
• Sandy MacLeod, vice-president of consumer marketing of the Toronto Star
• Bill McDonald, group publisher of Metro English Canada
• John Tarantino, vice-president and media director at Cossette
• Alain Tardy, vice-president of media of Marketel
• Robert Troutbeck, president Troutbeck Chernoff
