Facebook selects Argyle as its new PR agency

Social network's AOR relationship with High Road ends after six years

Updated Dec 18, 10:30 a.m.

Argyle PR has been selected to lead Facebook‘s Canadian public relations after a competitive review process. Facebook confirmed the agency change on Thursday.

“Argyle Public Relationships is excited to help Facebook fulfill its mission to make the world more open and connected,” said Argyle president and CEO Daniel Tisch in an email. “From our work with big-brand clients, we’ve seen how Facebook has helped not only strengthen relationships between people, but also between organizations and the public. Facebook’s story is about both social impact and business value.”

The move means that after six years, Facebook will part ways with High Road, its first agency in the Canadian market. High Road helped the company build out its Canadian communications strategy. It also assisted the social network in hosting many events aimed at marketers, including Facebook Summit and the recent Facebook Live IQ.

Facebook declined to comment on the agency change.
