Media giant Gesca has announced that Caroline Jamet has been named president of Editions La Presse and Editions Gesca while Marleen Beaulieu has been named president of La Presse Tele.
Jamet, who will also continue in her role as vice-president of communications at Montreal’s La Presse, joined the company in 2000 after working in communications at TVA and L’Equipe Spectra.
Beaulieu, who was a co-founder of La Presse Tele in 2002, also held key positions at Coscient, TVA and JPL Production.
The appointments come after the departure of Andre Provencher, who headed all three Gesca units.
Gesca president Guy Crevier praised Provencher, who has been with the organization since 2001 and had stints at Trois-Rivieres’ La Nouvelliste and Quebec City’s Le Soleil.
