Global has added a new capability to its existing TV video app with tap-through technology that will give advertisers access to more metrics.

The Global TV video app, originally launched roughly two years ago, is being enhanced with this technology to allow iPad, iPod touch and iPhone users to obtain more information about the brands and products being advertised.

Video ads delivered to the Global Video app will now contain a clear call-to-action, giving advertisers click-through metrics across video screens and user experience data.

A year ago, Global launched a Survivor app embedded within the Global Video app to get viewers to watch TV and their internet-connected device simultaneously, and to provide a more engaged connected experience.

The new free enhanced app with tap-through technology is available from the App Store and here. The app allows users to watch full-length episodes of shows, and also contains behind-the-scenes and web-exclusive content.
