Canada has a new Catalyst. Outrider Canada, the search marketing division of GroupM Canada, is being rebranded as Catalyst Canada, effective immediately.

Catalyst is a search marketing group based in Boston that has offices in Toronto, Montreal and several U.S. cities.

Merging Outrider into Catalyst reflects a continued attempt to combine the search marketing services that GroupM offers in North America, said GroupM chief global digital officer Rob Norman in a release.

It was also a way to unite two existing units and their expertise, he added.

As part of the rebrand, Outrider Canada CEO Jeff Lancaster has become CEO of Catalyst Canada.

“We’re excited to be able to provide our clients with a unified brand that they can look to for service across the region,” said Catalyst CEO Beth LeTendre. “We believe this change has the ability to open up new opportunities for clients both within Canada and abroad.”
