H+K Strategies names first-ever Quebec chair

Nathalie Bourque joins the firm following a long stint as VP at CAE

Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada has named a Quebec chair for the first time.

Nathalie Bourque will help the firm define its regional direction and support new business development efforts, says Goldy Hyder, president and CEO of H+K Canada.

“Nathalie’s expertise in the Quebec marketplace—which includes senior leadership positions on both the client and agency sides—will help us continue our remarkable momentum in the province and bolster H+K Quebec’s trajectory,” he said in a statement.

The chair role is not without precedent at H+K. Brian Mersereau, who has been with the firm for 33 years, has been chair of H+K Canada for the last seven years. There was previously a chair in B.C. as well.

H+K says its Quebec operations are “poised for significant progress.” The Montreal and Quebec City offices grew last year and the acquisition of stakeholder relations firm Acertys added new senior leadership to the firm.

Bourque left CAE this month, where she was vice-president, public affairs and global communications at CAE since 2005. Before that she was a partner and vice-president at National Public Relations from 1996 to 2005.

Bourque currently sits on the boards of Alimentation Couche-Tard, Héroux-Devtek and McGill University.
