Seevibes, a Montreal-based social measurement firm, has done some research on what platforms are forming the base of that ever-growing second screen market. The iPhone/Android fight continues, with BlackBerry still clawing for marketshare among a consumer base with increasing demands on their phones’ media capabilities. The research “takes into account all social TV interactions from Twitter on the Canadian market between June 2012 and June 2013.” The company sampled four shows from each of the measured categories.

The trends that emerge are fairly obvious: tablets are slowly building a user base while desktops (“computers” according to the chart) are dropping precipitously. Apple and Android are on the rise while BlackBerry’s consumer user base has slid off over the year.
