Initiative has announced yet another new hire in the wake of its December merger with fellow IPG Mediabrands network m2.
The company has appointed Angie Matchett as director of communications strategies, with direct responsibility for the agency’s RBC account. She has more than 18 years of industry experience across a broad range of categories including CPG, automotive and quick-service restaurants.
Matchett was previously group account director with Starcom MediaVest Group, while her agency experience also includes stints with Excelerator Media and Carat Canada.
The appointment is a homecoming of sorts for Matchett, who spent nearly three years as a media assistant with m2 forerunner M2 Universal in the late 1990s.
“[Matchett] thrives on finding emerging and innovative media solutions that drive business results, and we know she will add tremendous value to our team here,” said Initiative SVP managing director Andrea Parnell, in a release.
The announcement comes just one week after Initiative hired former Rogers Communications director of brand media planning Helen Galanis as president. She replaced Adam Luck, who took over a new role in charge of digital growth and innovation with IPG Mediabrands.
