Toronto-based mobile advertising company Juice Mobile and Nuance Communications have teamed up to launch a new mobile ad unit that’s voice-activated.

Available across North America Tuesday, the voice-enabled ad pairs Nuance Voice Ads technology with advertising solutions from Juice Mobile. Users can use voice commands instead of physical gestures or button clicks to navigate the ad’s interactive elements.

“Brands need to tell a story and nothing is more engaging than a conversation,” said Mike McSherry, Nuance Mobile vice-president of advertising.

The mobile ad offering can include additional technology such as video, music and geo-location.
