Veteran Canadian publishing executive Kerry Mitchell has been named to the newly created position of growth driver for GroupM media agency network Maxus Canada‚ effective immediately.
Reporting into Maxus Canada president Ann Stewart‚ Mitchell is charged with growing the agency’s Canadian client base and supporting existing clients with new growth initiatives.
Mitchell spent nearly 20 years in Canadian publishing‚ eventually working her way up to vice-president of Rogers Media – overseeing several leading consumer brands including Chatelaine‚ Flare and Today’s Parent – before leaving the company in 2011.
In a release‚ Stewart described Mitchell as a “strong leader‚ brand builder‚ communicator and sales strategist‚” noting that she has successfully launched and transformed operations in print‚ digital and other media platforms.
Since leaving Rogers‚ Mitchell has served as president of Arlo Strategy and a consultant and facilitator with M Squared Inc.
