Kijiji users can now buy and sell live event tickets through secure ticket sales marketplace StubHub. The two companies announced a partnership that will give Kijiji access to StubHub’s extensive catalog of concerts, festivals, and sports events.

Users will be able to buy and sell tickets using StubHub’s secure payment system and its FanProtect Guarantee, which insulates anonymous buyers and sellers and offers a guarantee that tickets will be delivered in time for an event.

Anthony Lipschitz, country lead of StubHub Canada, said in a release that StubHub’s risk-free customer guarantees offers an alternative to scalpers, promising that “fans are protected from that awful experience of buying a ticket from a stranger outside an event because you couldn’t get one anywhere else and then being turned away at the door because there’s something wrong with the ticket.”

Initially founded as a fan-to-fan ticket exchange, StubHub has grown to one of the world’s most successful ticket resellers. It is credited with revolutionizing the modern ticket resale market. It was acquired by eBay in 2007 and currently has sales partnerships with 60 major league teams, including the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Blue Jays.
