Kirk Allen is leaving his position as executive vice-president of advertising sales at Postmedia.

His departure to “pursue other opportunities” was announced Wednesday morning by Postmedia. The company has begun a search for his replacement. As Allen did, the replacement will report to Wayne Parrish, chief transformation and revenue officer.

Prior to taking the Postmedia title in July 2010, Allen spent four years as senior vice-president, advertising sales at Canwest Limited Partnership.

“Kirk Allen has contributed his talents to this and previous organizations with great enthusiasm and a strong belief in the power of the brands he represents,” said Paul Godfrey, Postmedia president and CEO, in a release. “I wish Kirk the very best as he moves on from Postmedia Network and pursues other endeavours.”
