One hundred Toronto commuters had cause to look up from their morning reading on Monday as Kobo and publisher Harper Collins hit the subway for a product give-away
To drive awareness for both companies, a street team led by Julie Wilson (author of Seen Reading, a collection of short stories about people reading in public) approached commuters engrossed in the pages of print or digital works. Those spotted were given a free Kobo Touch e-reader pre-loaded with Wilson’s book (along with branded collateral such as post cards and stickers).
