Martin Longchamps has been named vice-president, business development, digital solutions at TC Media.

Currently vice-president, mergers and acquisitions for TC Transcontinental – a responsibility Longchamps will retain – the new role takes effect immediately.

His new responsibilities include leading the digital solutions group’s business development agreements, from content to traffic acquisition to digital advertising representation. This position had been vacant for a few months, during which time the digital solutions management team had shared the responsibilities.

Bruno Leclaire, senior vice-president, digital solutions at TC Media, said in a release that Longchamps will help the company maintain the momentum it has built over the past two years from deals such as the acquisition of a majority stake in online ad network Redux Media in May 2012.

Before starting at TC Transcontinental in June 2010, Longchamps was a partner at private equity firm Edgestone Capital Partners.
