Love Nature partners with WWF Canada

Content partnership includes sponsored programming block

WWF Canada has partnered with Blue Ant Media’s high-definition nature channel Love Nature on a content program promoting water conservation and the importance of Canada’s freshwater system.

The partnership includes a digital content hub on WWF.ca that draws attention to Canada’s ongoing water conservation issues and features stories about the country’s 25 different watersheds.

WWF Canada president and CEO David Miller will also host a dedicated programming block on the commercial-free service called WWF Water Wednesdays with David Miller.

The segment will provide viewers with an overview of Canada’s watersheds, their importance in maintaining ecosystem health and biodiversity, and their role in water conservation. Canada is home to one fifth of the world’s freshwater supply.

“We hope that WWF Water Wednesdays on Love Nature will inspire people to learn how our lakes, rivers and oceans are an important part of our ecosystem that need to be protected from threats like pollution, habitat loss and fragmentation,” said Miller in a release.

An additional digital component utilizes the LoveNature.com and WWF.ca websites, as well as associated social channels. The content includes photos, short-form videos as well as relevant media coverage relating to the natural world.

Blue Ant Media rebranded Oasis as Love Nature earlier this year. The service is committed to 300 hours of original content each year, all in ultra high-definition. While the service is commercial-free, sponsorship packages are available.

The partnership comes as WWF Canada embarks on a new five-year strategy that includes the recent launch of “We are all wildlife,” its first major brand campaign in nearly a decade.
