Maxus Canada has named Patrick Renard its chief financial officer, reporting to president Ann Stewart.
Renard will oversee all financial operations for the GroupM network, with what the company describes as a “heavy focus” on driving and developing strategic opportunities and growth.
Renard is a seasoned senior operations and financial executive, and a former vice-president of Rogers Media’s publishing division. According to his LinkedIn profile, while at Rogers Media Renard oversaw the financial operations of a business with annual revenues of more than $240 million encompassing 28 business-to-business brands and more than 170 employees.
He was instrumental in shifting the company’s publishing strategy from traditional print to a digital content-based approach, while diversifying revenue streams by adding custom content, events, research, digital revenue and monetizing existing databases.
Prior to joining Maxus, Renard spent two years consulting with small and start-up companies in the digital media, ecommerce and retail industries.
