Mercedes-Benz Canada has appointed Gavin Allen to the position of vice-president, marketing, effective March 1. Allen will relocate to the company’s Toronto headquarters from Australia, where he is presently the general manager of marketing communications for Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific.

In a statement, Allen is credited with more than 12 years of experience in “brand strategy, channel marketing and customer relationship management.”

Allen’s new position was previously held by Marc Boderke, who will become vice-president of sales and marketing for Mercedes-Benz Japan.

Mercedes-Benz Canada handles the sales, marketing and service for the Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Smart automotive brands in Canada.
