MTV Canada heads out of the studio and across the country with sponsors LifeStyles Condoms and Rogers to connect with college and university students during frosh week.

Aside from visits to the University of Manitoba and the University of Saskatchewan and a concert at the University of Ottawa as part of MTV Live’s search for the “froshiest” school, MTV is also spreading the word about safe sex through its fifth annual LifeStyles Condoms Love Fest tour.

MTV Live’s DJ Dopey will spin tracks at 14 venues across the country for the Love Fest tour, and Paris Hilton is set to host a Toronto concert, headlined by Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, Sept. 13.

And Rogers MusicStore is presenting The Leak Live cross-country tour, featuring Canadian band Mobile, which kicks off in Toronto Sept. 22, and continues on to Fanshawe College in London, Ont., Sept. 24; Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Sept. 29; and the University of British Columbia Oct. 1.

Other dates in Montreal and Halifax have yet to be announced. Event coverage will air on MTV Live and MTV News. Viewers can text “leak” to 4849 on their Rogers phone for exclusive access to the “Leak Hub” including tour dates, band video blogging, music videos, live performance coverage, ring tones and MTV tour updates.

“We want to engage young people everywhere they are and create experiences,” said Brad Schwartz, senior vice-president and general manager, Much MTV Group, CTV Inc., in a release. “We’re taking MTV on the road, giving them MTV’s unpredictable daily show; talking with them about prevalent social issues; and rocking out with Mobile.”
