Glam Media Canada, a part of robust vertical media company Glam Media, is pumping up its Canadian consumer content through a new strategic partnership with Divine.ca, a lifestyle website.

The partnership brings an additional 500,000 or so new readers to Glam Canada from Divine.ca, which provides Canadian women with free beauty, fashion, home, health and entertainment content.

With 9.9 million uniques, Glam Media Canada will provide advertisers with “super-premium” ads at scale. (Those ads offer branded content which includes HD, rich media, editorial and featured videos.) Advertisers will have access to environments in both English and French.

Commenting on the deal in a release, Glam Media Canada vice-president Mark Boxer said it allows his company to pump up its English ‘style’ category offering as well as create a strong presence in French Quebec.

Divine.ca president Chris Emergui praised Glam’s advertising and content model, as well as its expertise around women. He said, “Glam Media offers us targeted, relevant and engaging advertising from well-respected brands. Glam is known for developing enriched online experiences and we are proud to partner with them as we work toward elevating our user experience.”

That will be done through integrated content, video and more user-generated content like Divine.ca’s test panels. “Brands love the feedback they are getting from real Canadians,” Emergui told Marketing. “Brands can expect more custom video and editorial advertising opportunities.”

Glam Media has headquarters are in Silicon Valley, New York,and London with additional offices in cities including Toronto, Munich, Paris and Mumbai.
