Newfoundland Capital Corporation says its radio unit has received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to acquire CIGV-FM, a station in Penticton, B.C. from Great Valleys Radio Ltd.
The deal was announced last summer and is expected to close within the next month, Newcap said Wednesday.
The Dartmouth, N.S. company is one of Canada’s biggest radio broadcasters with 82 stations across the country.
