OMD Canada has unseated J3/UM as Canadian Adlympics champion.
Introduced last year by the Canadian Out-of-home Digital Association (CODACAN), the Adlympics sees media agency teams square off in games including Twister, relay races and touch-screen memory and trivia games.
As the event winners, OMD’s Team Rogers won $100,000 in digital out-of-home bucks that it will donate to the charity Ronald McDonald House. “[It] is a great organization that really supports families and children at times when they need it most,” said team captain Mike Cortiula in a release.
Each member of the team also received a new 32-inch LCD TV from LG Electronics.
This year’s event took place May 18 at the Steam Whistle brewery at Toronto’s John St. Roundhouse, while a sister event is scheduled for Montreal in the coming month.
