A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

Yum Restaurants has appointed DAVID VIVENES as its new chief marketing officer, overseeing the KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut brands. He was previously senior marketing director of KFC.

Transcontinental co-founder REMI MARCOUX will step down as board chairman early next year. His daughter ISABELLE MARCOUX, who has been vice-chairwoman, will replace him.

RICK WHITE was named vice-president of business development for Scotiabank‘s Global Online Brokerage. White was formerly vice-president of the bank’s Canadian marketing operations, a role that is now divided between two executives. JEFF MARSHALL is now vice-president of marketing and brand management. The company is expected to announce the second executive hire shortly.

RANDY CARELLI has been promoted to vice-president, group account director at Starcom Mediavest Group. He’s worked on the Kellogg’s, Nintendo and Beam brands, and aside from a brief stint at Diageo, has been with the company since 2000.

KEVIN PFUHL has joined the ranks at Rain 43 as a partner overseeing client strategy. He was most recently senior vice-president, managing director at BBDO/Proximity.

Dentsu Canada appointed CALEY ERLICH and CRAIG LAWERENCE as account director and graphic designer, respectively. Erlich’s has held account supervisor and coordinator positions at Draft FCB, and Lawrence has worked with clients such as Hyundai, Luminato Festival and Scotiabank.

Zoom Media Canada hired ERIN MCDOUGALD as senior sales director of its Toronto office. McDougald has worked at Rogers Digital Media, BV Media and Quebecor. DORA ALEXANDER also joined the Toronto office as digital and business development director. She has worked at Outdoor Broadcast Network and Alloy Media & Marketing.

Holiday Films hired CYNTHIA MUDD as director of marketing. Mudd has over six years of experience in the advertising industry, having held sales and marketing positions at Toronto-based commercial production companies Radke Films and Brown Entertainment.

Vaughan, Ont.-based agency Tag Idea Revolution added four members to its team. MARIANNE MCBEAN joined as director, strategy development. She has worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Draft Worldwide and Publicis. NORINA JONES joined as senior digital specialist after stints at Grip, Crispin Porter & Bogusky and Tribal DDB. RICK ABBRUZZESE joined as associate creative director. His previous work experience includes time at Taxi and DraftFCB. DEANNA KEFFER joined as media and planning specialist and has previously worked at Universal McCann, Starcom MediaVest and MediaCom.

Halifax-based agency Chester + Company appointed ANTHONY TAAFFE as creative director. During his career he has worked with clients such as Bell Aliant, Moosehead Breweries, ALC, Workers Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, Destination Cape Breton and P&G.

Agence Braque hired GENEVIEVE MIRON as account manager, SAN PHAN as media manager and JESSE VINET as an account services coordinator.
