A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing communications

NEIL WEITZMAN joined Dentsu Aegis Network Canada as senior vice-president, data and analytics, a newly created position within the agency. In his new role Weitzman will lead, manage and launch new analytical services, products and tools, and will collaborate across all network and specialist brands to “provide the most effective data-driven solutions to clients,” according to a press release. Early in his career, Weitzman spent 16 years at Nielsen as part of the Canadian executive team. Most recently, he led the Media & Audience Insights Centre of Excellence at Rogers Media.

CBC appointed MUNRO CULLEN as the new senior creative director of the broadcaster’s communications, marketing and brand department. Cullen most recent held the senior copywriter position at Shaw Media and prior to that worked at Alliance Atlantis as a promo producer.

Free For All Marketing appointed KELLY POWER as vice-president, effective August 2014. Power was most recently with Redwood Strategies, where she also held a vice-president’s title for nearly two years. Power has also held a number of senior-level positions at agencies such as MacLaren Momentum and Match Marketing. Meanwhile, MARIE BEDARD joined the agency as an account director from Launch where she led the Dairy Farmers of Canada account.

After two and a half years with Kaiser Lachance Communications, the PR firm promoted ASHLEIGH GOODBODY from account manager to senior manager. Goodbody has also held positions at Fleishman-Hillard and Tamm Communications.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) promoted seven team members in its Toronto office. RACHEL HALPERN, MEREDITH ROGERS, GENNA SCHNURBACH and MIRIAM SHERKEY were promoted to senior consultant roles, while HALEY FINDLAY,HALEY JUDGE and OLGARADCHENKO were promoted to consultants.

Rocket Fuel added three new members to its team. BRIAN GARDNER joined the Toronto office as a senior account executive, while CLAYTON HARTFORD and JOSHUA ALVERNIA joined as account executive and sales coordinator, respectively.
