Outfront Media adds to its digital capabilities in Quebec

New boards boast combined daily circulation of more than 250,000 people

As part of an ongoing effort to increase its digital footprint, Outfront Media has converted four static boards in Quebec. The recent conversions bring the out-of-home advertising company’s total digital inventory to 39 faces, including nine in Quebec.

One of the Brossard boards

Outfront (formerly CBS Outdoor Canada) has converted two 14-foot by 48-foot boards in Brossard, and two 10-foot by 20-foot boards in Saguenay’s Chicoutimi borough.

The Brossard boards are located in a growing commercial district at Highway 10 at the foot of the Champlain Bridge. Each board has a daily circulation of more than 82,200 people.

The two digital boards in Saguenay are also situated on St. Paul Boulevard near the downtown core, and are visible to two-way traffic on the Dubuc Bridge and to in-bound and out-bound commuters from the nearby Jonquiere borough. Each board boasts daily traffic of 44,800.

The four boards are capable of displaying six 10-second advertisements.

While digital represents a very small portion of Outfront’s more than 12,000 exterior faces, Diane Lanctôt, research/marketing manager for Outfront in Montreal, said that the company is looking to convert existing boards in strategic locations in major markets across the country.

“It’s an important part of our product mix, but the other products are important too,” she said.
