Pattison Onestop partners with CBC for news content

Deal includes office buildings nationwide, transit and residential screens in Edmonton

Pattison Outdoor Advertising’s digital unit Pattison Onestop has chosen CBC/Radio-Canada as the exclusive news content provider for its digital office network.

Beginning today, bilingual news content from the public broadcaster will accompany existing content including finance, weather, time and Pelmorex Media’s “Beat the Traffic” on the network’s 15-inch elevator screens and 46-inch lobby screens.

Pattison’s digital office network is present in seven Canadian markets including Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. CBC content will also be available on Pattison Onestop’s Edmonton Transit Network and Residential Network.

The Edmonton Transit Network is comprised of 55-inch LCD screens in all stations along the city’s Capital and Metro lines, providing exposure to an estimated 132,000 weekly riders.

Pattison Onestop said the products generate more than 3.8 million weekly impressions combined. The company’s entire digital portfolio, which includes screens in the Toronto Transit Commission, the PATH Network and 700 residential high-rises across the country, generates more than 19 million weekly impressions

Pattison Onestop vice-president and general manager Cam Milne called the deal “another exciting milestone” for the company, which was established in 2005 and acquired by Pattison in 2011.
