Quebecor Inc. says it booked net income of $43.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2010, or 68 cents per share.
That’s down from the $73.8 million, or $1.15 per share, in net income the same quarter of 2009.
The Montreal-based media giant said revenue in the quarter was up $55.9 million, or 5.4%, to $1.09 billion.
Company president and CEQ Karl Peladeau said 2010 was a “signal year for Quebecor’s future development.”
“With the launch of several new products, the company is entering the new decade in a position of strength.” he said in a statement.
For all of 2010, Quebecor says revenues were up 5.1% to $4 billion and net income was off 17.1% to $230.1 million.
