Red-hot Jays a ratings hit for Sportsnet

Team is averaging 1.19 million viewers since MLB Trade Deadline

The Toronto Blue Jays’ recent on-field resurgence – eight wins in a row as of Sunday – has translated into near-record viewership for Sportsnet.

An average audience of 1.43 million people 2+ tuned in to watch the Jays complete a three-game sweep of the New York Yankees on Sunday, according to preliminary overnight data from Numeris.

It was the team’s largest audience of the season, ranking just behind the all-time high of 1.44 million for the team’s 2013 home opener.
