Rogers Media announced three key appointments to its marketing leadership team Tuesday.

Heather Clark will assume the newly-created position of senior director of marketing, publishing brands, effective January 21. She will lead the way on devising and carrying out a strategic vision aimed to build brand loyalty and increase audience growth across multiple platforms. Clark was formerly Rogers Digital Media’s senior director of marketing.

Rita Ferrari will assume the newly-created position of director, product and brand marketing. Ferrari will work on a “new digital growth initiative” that Rogers Media will launch later in the year. Ferrari has been with Rogers for two years, and was most recently the company’s senior director of digital marketing.

Sarah Trimble will fill the role of senior director of marketing, digital, effective January 14. Trimble will be tasked with expanding Rogers’ e-commerce marketing program and leading a Digital Marketing Centre of Excellence, which will “encompass expertise in audience development, social media marketing, digital marketing and digital trade marketing,” according to a statement. Previously Trimble was the associate vice-president of interactive marketing at Sears Canada.

The appointments come as per Rogers’ efforts toward a centralized marketing structure, which will bring Rogers “one step closer to our goal of creating a marketing organization that drives best-in-class brand leadership for our loyal consumer audiences,” said senior vice-president of marketing and consumer insights, Dale Hooper, in the statement.

All three will report directly to Hooper.

Disclosure: Rogers Media owns Marketing magazine.
