Just over a week after being named president of Bell Media sales, Luc Sabbatini has revealed the company’s newly restructured sales force.
Sabbatini, who previously helmed Astral Out-Of-Home, provided a breakdown of the new organizational structure in a release earlier this week.
At the core of the reoganization is a merging of the sales teams into one multiplatform sales group. Sabbatini said the team will find the right opportunities “to leverage our unique collection of brands and products,” adding that its main goal is “to deliver the best client experience in the industry.”
Remaining at the helm of the national conventional sales teams in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver—plus the Toronto local sales team—is vice-president, conventional sales Perry MacDonald.
Lesley Conway, most recently executive vice-president, sales at Astral Out-Of-Home, has been appointed senior vice-president, Bell Media sales, English Canada. The list of senior executives reporting in to Conway are: Darryl Coburn (vice-president, specialty TV sales and brand partnerships), Debbie Drutz (vice-president, Bell Media Mix), Jordana Fatsis (vice-president, out-of-home sales), Nancy McConnell (vice-president, digital sales), Dean Rutherford (vice-president and general manager, Bell Media radio sales) and John Voiles (vice-president, sales, Western Canada).
Conway will also work closely with TSN sales senior vice-president Joe Carter as well.
Sabbatini also stated that a senior vice-president of Bell Media sales for Quebec will be named “in the near future.” That executive will work closely with RDS vice-president, sales and marketing, Patrick Jutras. Several executives will report in to the new SVP: André Allard (vice-president, out-of-home sales), Guillaume Bédard (senior director, digital sales), Peter Germain (vice-president, specialty TV sales), France Godard (vice-president, radio sales) and Michelle LaBarre (vice-president, Bell Media Mix).
In addition, Sabbatini announced that Nathalie Cook and Nathalie Doré will spearhead sales marketing initiatives for the restructured sales team. He said they will “lead a brand strategy for Bell Media sales utilizing tools such as relationship marketing, social media, branding initiatives and business-to-business opportunities to connect directly with clients on a regular basis” in the roles of vice-president, marketing and innovation for English Canada and Quebec, respectively.
On July 5, the day the deal between Astral Media and BCE Inc. officially closed, Bell Media announced a new executive leadership team and programming initiatives. At that time, it was revealed that SVP, advertising sales Rita Fabian will be leaving the company in October.
