Shaw Media has named Jamie Schouela as vice-president, marketing for Global and its 19 specialty television brands.

Schouela had been director of marketing strategy at Global when it was owned by Canwest. Shaw acquired Canwest’s television properties in February 2010, and the previous top marketer for Canwest broadcast properties Walter Levitt left the company last fall.

Prior to joining Canwest in 2005, Schouela held several marketing positions with Alliance Atlantis.

“We are confident that Jamie’s experience, coupled with his passion for our business will enable him to effectively lead our marketing organization and position our business for continued growth and success,” said Paul Robertson, group vice-president of marketing and president of Shaw Media, in a release. “Our business continues to perform exceptionally well and we are excited about the opportunities which lie ahead.”
