Montreal’s Seevibes has set its sights on the Toronto market, officially opening its third office there Wednesday.
The company provides social TV data for clients like Quebecor, Bell Media and Cossette.
Since expanding to Paris last year, Seevibes has been able to strike multi-market deals with several new clients, including Havas and Netflix. It’s hoping to repeat that process in Toronto where, aside from a large pool of prospective clients, many of its current partners are headquartered, including two of its main domestic partners — Twitter and Facebook.
Aside from logistics, Franz Fontaine, vice-president of strategic development at Seevibes, said the company wants to be there because it sees it as an “innovation hub.”
“Having worked in the market, what I realized is the willingness and openness of the agencies and their clients to constantly test and try new strategies, tactics and technologies,” Fontaine said. “Since innovation is part of our DNA, it was important for us to be present in Toronto.”
Fontaine joined Seevibes late last year. Prior to that, he worked in the media world for more than a decade, both at agencies and media companies, including Groupe TVA, Bell Media and TC Media. Most recently, he was a senior account director at Mediative.
In a release, Seevibes founder and CEO Laurent Maisonnave, said, “Franz offers so much, such as his knowledge of advertisers and their needs in terms of marketing strategies, media investment, consumer behaviour analysis and ad targeting.”
