Shop.ca signs on with Oboxmedia

Advertising rep firm Oboxmedia announced Tuesday it has teamed up with Shop.ca to sell branded content and display ads for the online retailer.

The partnership will allow Shop.ca to develop a new revenue source in addition to its retail sales. Obox plans to build an audience network that enables advertisers to surround the Canadian consumer with relevant messaging during each touch-point .

“Our site services tens of thousands of Canadians every day through our transactional business; we understand how valuable those eyeballs are to advertisers,” said Drew Green, CEO and founder of Shop.ca, in a statement. “This is another chapter in our journey to change the retail landscape in Canada.”

Oboxmedia is based in Montreal and has offices in Toronto and Vancouver. It specializes in selling branded content to the 18-44 market and its client roster includes Ford, General Motors, Red Bull and BMO.

Launched in 2012, Shop.ca is an online shopping site that retails in clothing, electronics, home décor, and pet supplies.
