Strategic Objectives adds data company to its client roster

PR firm to build brand awareness for Markham, Ont.-based DMTI Spatial

DMTI Spatial, a data analytics company that uses location-based information, has named Strategic Objectives as its public relations agency of record.

Strategic Objectives won the account in a competitive bid involving four agencies, said Deborah Weinstein, president of the Toronto PR firm.

The agency will work to build brand awareness and the reputation for Markham, Ont.-based DMTI Spatial. The company’s precision targeting technology is heavily used by banks, the insurance industry and marketers, and its clients include Manulife Insurance, Bell Canada and Genworth Canada.

“It’s brand-building from the get go. It’s very much a B2B play amongst key vertical markets,” Weinstein said. “But, as we move forward it will definitely take a more consumer focus.”

Arthur Berrill, president and chief technology officer of DMTI Spatial, said the agency’s digital expertise and past media relations results will raise awareness of his company.

“DMTI Spatial has been a global leader in data analytics for more than ten years, and we are a true Canadian success story — but it’s a story that hasn’t yet been told,” Berrill said, in a statement. “We sought out the Strategic Objectives team because of their amazing track record of storytelling and content development across all channels.”
