Carlos Lamadrid will take on the role of senior vice-president of consumer solutions at TC Media, where he will oversee flagship magazine brands Canadian Living and Elle Canada.

Lamadrid’s new position puts him at the helm of TC’s brand strategy. He’ll lead multiplatform growth for the company’s titles into digital, mobile and TV production.

Lamadrid comes most recently from an executive vice-presidency at Penske Media Corporation (PMC), a U.S. web media group of lifestyle brands including Deadline, OnCars, Hollywood Life and Variety.

He has a long history in lifestyle print magazines as well, with stints as publishing executive at Woman’s Day (Hachette Fillipacchi Media), Jane Magazine (Conde Nast), Men’s Journal (Wenner Media) and Town & Country Magazine (Hearst).

At Hachette Fillipacchi, Lamadrid was SVP and chief brand officer of the Woman’s Day Brand Group until the company was bought in 2011 by Hearst. He supervised all advertising, business development and editorial for the 21-million reader magazine, including its digital operations and special interest publications.
