TC Media has unveiled redesigned web sites for its more than 160 local newspapers across the country. The sites boast what TC Media calls a sleeker design offering faster, simpler navigation, with a heavier emphasis on local content.

The revamped sites, all accessible via YourLocalNews.ca, also benefit local advertisers by offering a bigger gateway to neighbouring communities and direct access to a local, targeted and engaged audience, said TC. Advertisers are also being given prime placement on the sites, said TC.

The sites feature a greater emphasis on photos, slideshows and a new video gallery said TC, and feature a new events calendar for their community.
