Véronique Cloutier is so big in Quebec that she is simply known as Véro. And that’s the name of a new magazine that the French Canadian TV and radio star will launch with TC Media in Quebec this fall.

The quarterly women’s magazine will only be published in French and will be aimed at family-oriented women with active lifestyles. Cloutier will be the magazine’s “muse-in-chief,” and her philosophies about life and entertaining will be reflected in its pages.

Véro’s team will be lead by former Elle Québec editor-in-chief Sylvie Poirier.

Lise Paul-Hus, TC’s group publisher and VP, consumer solutions in Montreal, said in a release that the magazine will enrich TC Media’s existing portfolio of women’s publications, which includes Canadian Living and Elle Québec (to which Cloutier and her husband, comedian Louis Morissette, gave exclusive access to their wedding pictures for its Aug. 2012 issue; that issue of Elle Quebec broke its newsstand sales record, reaching 108,122 copies).

Initially Véro will only have a print version; there are no current plans for a related website since Cloutier recently overhauled her own website. But TC Media hasn’t ruled out the option of launching a tablet edition or companion site down the road.
