ZoomerMedia seeking to buy Sun News Network from Quebecor

Moses Znaimer has exclusive negotiating rights for the channel, according to reports

A published report says Moses Znaimer’s ZoomerMedia is in talks aimed at acquiring Sun News Network from Quebecor.

The Globe and Mail quotes a source “familiar with the negotiations'” as saying Znaimer wants a deal to buy the TV channel before the end of the year.

The Globe says, according to the source, Znaimer has exclusive negotiating rights for the news and opinion channel. Spokespeople for Znaimer and Quebecor declined to comment on the report.

ZoomerMedia operates print, TV, radio, digital, consumer shows and conferences aimed a the 45-plus age group.

Sun News Network, a conservative-angled news channel, has struggled in the ratings, and been the centre of various political controversies.
