Pepsi wants to help consumers max their ride and fuel their drive this summer through its Max Your Ride contest.

The soft drink company is giving Canadians a chance to win one of eight Mazda3 Sport GT vehicles, plus $2,500 toward vehicle options of their choice, as well as one of 1,500, $25 gas cards.

Consumers enter by visiting PepsiAccess.ca and submitting a pin number found under the cap of participating Pepsi products: Diet Pepsi Max, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine-Free Pepsi, 7UP, Diet 7UP, Mountain Dew, and Lipton Brisk iced tea. Consumers can enter as many times as they like, as long as each entry is made with a unique PIN code.

“This contest is an innovative way to reward our loyal customers, giving them a chance to enjoy the open road in a brand new Mazda,” said Dale Hooper, vice-president of marketing at Pepsi-QTG Canada in a release.

“And at a time when prices at the pumps are climbing, this contest gives customers a chance to fuel up their car with one of the many gas cards available.”

A PR effort, by Mississauga-based PraxisPR, includes online conversations on blogs, Facebook pages, websites and forums dedicated to car enthusiasts, as well as Pepsi lovers.

Promotional packaging and point of sales support includes special labels, cooler clings and tent cards. Toronto-based Capital C created the POS materials. The contest launched last week and ends July 25.
